About this speaker

Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London before moving into a group finance role at a subsidiary of global quoted media group WPP plc. Over the course of his career within WPP Group he held various roles including Finance Director of Research International in the UK, Group project head for the software specification, development and implementation of a global cost management and reporting system, European Finance Director and COO for Landor Associates, and Regional Managing Director for Landor Associates in the Middle East. In this last role he set up the regional operation from a greenfield site in Dubai, and grew the team to twenty multi-disciplinary professionals over three years, leading the new business development and brand strategy with key blue chip clients. Tim moved to New Zealand with his family in 2004 where he bought a small print production company and evolved it into a brand agency, working with a range of clients in both New Zealand and Australia. Tim was a member of the government backed New Zealand Mentors team – providing business advice and guidance to a range of small businesses. During this time he also co-founded a tech based marketing company using leading edge Bluetooth and near field technology. Returning to the UK in 2015 to support ageing family members he worked as a portfolio Marketing Director through umbrella marketing company The Marketing Centre. This was where he first worked with Suffolk Libraries and Bruce Leeke the CEO. Tim has been a key part of the development of Discover More since its inception both as an idea as well as a product and is Project Manager for the commercialisation and roll out of the product.
