As LGA Digital Champion, Mark is working alongside with industry through the Digital Connectivity Forum, advocating the role of local government at various conferences and lobbying ministers on behalf of the sector.
Mark previously served as council leader for the Gloucestershire County Council for 14y years. During his time in office, Mark has established Gloucestershire on the national stage through his role as Chair of the Conservative Councillors Association, Deputy Chair of the County Council’s Network and Digital Champion on the Local Government Association, having previously chaired the People and Place Board.
