AI in Adult Social Care: Evidence from a Council-led Collaboration

Working with a group of local authorities focusing on how AI can support the delivery of Adult Social Care, this session will give an overview of the collaboration's progress and evidence from a range of use cases. Led by a proven technical partner, councils are focusing on using AI to better engage with Unpaid Carers, support people at the front door around ASC finances (with the ultimate aim of reducing ASC related debt), give more intuitive access to information and advice, address the many language and accessibility challenges ASC faces, as well as help support with forms and assessments and more. This session will present a body of work to stimulate ideas and discussion around what AI can offer in these critical areas, as well as where it could support Social Care more widely.
