Peter Zangari

Peter Zangari is Partner and Head of Americas of MDOTM Ltd. He was a member of the executive committee and Global Head of Research & Product Development at MSCI. Previously, he led the development of Analytics products, that with data, technology, and services, support the risk management and portfolio management processes of institutional investors worldwide.

Before joining MSCI, Zangari worked for 13 years at GSAM, concluding his experience as Managing Director and Head of Risk, leading the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team. Zangari, who holds a Ph.D. in applied econometrics and computational statistics, has produced some of the most influential works in the field of portfolio and market risk measurement (e.g., Modern Investment Management, an equilibrium approach, 2003. RiskMetrics Technical Document, 1996).
