Mary-Beth Hosking began her writing journey in 2019 when she wrote her first book, In One Piece: A step by step guide to surviving change, which was published in the middle of the Covid pandemic and was designed to support leaders through significant change. In 2023, she completed her second book, When Now Means NOW! A handbook for career change, advancement and progression, focusing on her byline: ‘Don’t be afraid to pivot, be afraid not to’.
During this time, Mary-Beth had accepted the role of global CIO and met Ady Kalra while working in the same business. Their collaboration for the 10×Generation came about when the two were discussing the pitfalls many organizations face when in a growth phase. With a combined experience of more than 35 years in the technology industry, they knew that there must be a better way to support growth from a startup to an enterprise without overburdening teams with cumbersome processes and bloating the business with unnecessary headcount.
Mary-Beth holds a master’s degree in Business and Technology with majors in Strategic Management and Organizational Change Management, and has experience of leading restructures in multinational organizations. She acts as a mentor, coach and leader to those in the midst of organizational uncertainty, and has successfully delivered major programmes during times of significant change.
