Dr. Gokcen Yilmaz is a Lecturer in Design and Innovation at the Initiative in the Digital Economy (INDEX) at the University of Exeter. Her research focuses on information systems, software engineering, and digital transformation. She collaborates on numerous national and international projects across sectors such as manufacturing, construction, transport, healthcare, and agriculture. Gokcen has extensive experience in designing and developing digital technologies and solutions, as well as in creating digital transformation assessment models. She is a Co-Investigator on DIGITLab, a £3.7m EPSRC-funded Digital Economy Research Centre, which partners with over 30 large-scale industry organizations to identify successful strategies for scaling digital technology adoption in large companies.
