Mobile UK as the voice of the UK’s mobile industry, will host an online webinar style event which will include a talk from Director of Policy and Communications for Mobile UK, Gareth Elliott. He will cover key topics relating to digital inclusion and the role that mobile connectivity plays. He will also outline the Digital Champions campaign which is calling on the government to fund Digital Champion roles in every local authority. He will offer information on why digital transformation must not mean digital exclusion. And advice offered on why inclusion strategies should include robust mobile connectivity actions to ensure infrastructure and investment meets the needs of communities and business so they have future capacity and capability. He will cover wider aspects of why people are digitally excluded and why certain sections of society are more vulnerable. Gareth will invite industry guests to take part in this webinar to offer different perspectives and will allow time for questions and answers from attendees.
