Tech Startup Skills (Ep. 1) – Basics of Legals, Accountancy, and IP

A Session by Tech NExt

About this Session

As the early-stage ecosystem in Newcastle picks itself up after the pandemic, Tuspark presents the first in a series of workshops on company building.

Our speakers will cover the practical skills, mindsest you need, international awareness and opportunities, in this changed landscape: including, what has changed, and what has not. We are the tech community of the North East, and we’ll have friends and allies join us for these sessions — we’re thinking of these as a FREE accelerator for your benefit: to be free of charge, inclusive, creating a tighter community, and powerful.

Today’s talk will fly us through the basics of startup law, accountancy, and intellectual property by our friends at Mathys & Squire (for IP), Gerald Edelman (Accountancy) and Irwin Mitchell (Law).

Sessions will be hosted by Colin Tan, Operations Director of Tuspark Newcastle, and himself an entrepreneur (Seedcamp, 500 Startups), ecosystem builder (Northern Powerhouse), early-stage investor (Dotforge), and global connector (TusPark).
