Shifting culture and practice in adult social care to really embrace technology for independent living

You can implement technology for care in adult social care, but without going beyond training to really shifting culture, it won’t work. This talk will explain the importance of getting a disparate range of stakeholders buying into the concept of digital care technology, and how to get people excited about the opportunities it presents. Irene will talk about the importance of uncovering the current position of the organisation, benchmarking how people truly feel about technology in their work, identifying the potential barriers. She will then explain how to implement a culture change process, such as including practitioners every step of the way, training, measurement and analysis to develop digital-first organisations, where people aren’t scared of trying new things and working in new ways.
