About this talk

Liverpool 5G Create is a DCMS funded test bed and trial with a consortium of organisations introducing an independent 5G network that will offer health, social care and education free connectivity. This will ensure the digital divide is lessened and health inequalities don't widen with those that can afford good broadband benefiting from new health services with those without not able to access them. The consortium includes Liverpool City Council the local CCG and NHS community service provider Mersey Care. This is a novel approach of the statutory services providing their own network which makes considerable savings by only having operational costs not being charged by units of data used. In the talk I will explain the lessons learned and how other organisations can use the new technologies for their own independent stand alone networks
