About this talk

The challenge of increasing diversity in IT is now firmly on the agenda at the DVLA and across the UK, but it is far from a solved problem. This session is designed to showcase some of our women in tech to encourage others to pursue a career in the field. Let us not forget that the first programmer, Ada Lovelace was a woman.

During this session you will: • Discover what ‘a day in a life’ looks like working in a tech role at the DVLA • Hear about the challenges they faced. • Be inspired by their career journeys that will inspire the future generations. • Have the opportunity to ask the role models any questions around their careers
