How to reach the next normal: Sustainable businesses

A Session by Orsolya Galantai (Co-founder, Leader, Spark Institute)

About this Session

A sustainable business is one in which profitability, the environment, and social commitment are in harmony. In other words, it involves the coordination of business activities without having - or having as minimal as possible - a negative impact on the environment, society, and economy. To reach this new economic paradigm, we need to have a radical change in the way we think of involving technology and we need to consider the pain points in relation to companies. When asking what are the elements to get there, then it's complex problem solving, creativity, incorporating new business models and the willingness to act, of course. There are inspiring businesses in the UK already that serve as good role models that prove that it is possible to make a profit whilst minimising the negative impact on society as well as reducing the carbon footprint. If you need some inspiration on the subject of the Next Normal in Business then don’t miss my talk.

Orsolya Galantai sparks corporations - and people! - to expand their horizon of thinking and leverage their innovation skills and knowledge so that their work makes a real difference in the world. She’d played a significant role in co-founding and running an international leading future studies hub, Spark Institute.
