How can digital improve grantmaking - for charities and funders?

This session will explore the use of digital in helping to make the grant giving process more accessible, transparent and user-friendly.

Dan Sutch and Ellen Smyth from CAST will introduce GrantAdvisor UK, the free online funding review service which relaunched as a permanent platform in May 2023.

Designed to facilitate honest, open dialogue between fundraisers and grantmakers, the platform invites anonymous reviews from grantseekers and encourages funders to engage with these - initially responding to the review, and then using the insights gathered to help refine and improve their funding practices.

Dan and Ellen will be joined by Liam Sweeney, Senior Creative Partner at Hubbub, a charity that creates environmental campaigns with a difference. Liam will share insights into a live project in which the charity is exploring ways to make their grant making processes more fair, transparent and inclusive.
