About this talk

The current pandemic has highlighted and exacerbated the digital skills gap. Those without access to or the knowledge and confidence to use digital technologies are getting left behind. Society is also recognising the benefits that a more inclusive organisation can bring including greater innovation and creativity and developing products and services that can cater for a range of different people. In this talk Professor Strachan will explore how inclusive leadership can support the creation of more digitally fluent and diverse organisation, where employees feel valued and welcomed. She will draw on her expertise and experience as a leader in digital technology and education and draw on the work of her research group in Digital Learning. Those attending will come away with a better sense of how they can support their organisations and employees to be more digitally fluent and inclusive. This should help improve performance, lead to a more diverse workforce that is able to innovate more and ultimately provide increased benefits to the organisation.
