Join us for our June Digital Champion Networking event, our first in person event of 2023! We're so excited to be working with the Digital Innovation Centre in Folkestone. The Digital Innovation Centre is a fantastic organisation, working on the cutting edge of innovation and transformation of training and care. We will be hearing a bit about the work they are doing to help digital inclusion, as well as seeing their virtual and physical high tech learning environment (including VR!).
As part of this event, we are thrilled to say that each of our volunteers who attends will be trained as an ESTHER Ambassador. The ESTHER model pioneers a "person-centred" approach to care and support, continually asking "what is the best for Esther?". ESTHER can be anyone who is needs care and attention from more than one service provider (such as health, social services, employment services, etc).
As Digital Champions, you are in a unique position to find the "Esther" in your community - through sharing and teaching digital skills, you naturally empower people to be involved in their own care, to gain access to services and experiences that they otherwise would not be able to use. Digital skills underpin every part of everyday life, and training as an ESTHER ambassador will allow you to provide high-valued and patient-centred care. This is a great opportunity, and by the end of the event you will be able to call yourself an ESTHER Ambassador!
