About this talk

We build geospatial databases for local authorities. If you’re in local government and you’re using digital technology to improve your operational and planning processes, then you’ll understand the importance of the geospatial data layer that underpins that technology. You’ll also know that very few councils have a single-source geospatial database of all of their street assets and public realm places. This talk focuses on how Inakalum can build a geospatial database for local authorities that will include all assets such as street furniture, road signs, street lighting, gullies, manholes, greenery, safety structures, traffic lights, bollards, etc. and all public realm places across a multitude of categories, including public services and amenities, retail, business, tourism, hospitality, places of interest, parking, healthcare, sport, parks, etc. All database assets and places are photographed, geotagged and categorised, and presented in a map-based search engine with a range of integration and import/export data options.
