About this Speaker

Tracey Boffey – Service Manager for Web, Digital Development and Innovation.

Tracey has worked for Wigan Council for over 20 years, starting as a business apprentice working her way to managerial level, giving Tracey the extensive background in the challenges which face the workforce and residents when it comes to connecting to the digital world.

As being a key lead responsible for channel shift and ensuring our residents access digital first channels is when Tracey’s passion grew for digital transformation and inclusion.

In the pandemic it shone a light on digital inclusion and this is when Tracey and her team created a digital champion programme - #TechMates, to help those in most need, learn and connect digitally.

Really keen to give back locally with being a resident in the borough, she feels using low code digital technologies will help our residents experiences be positive ones in the way they interact with the council, health partners and other vital services

Digital moves at pace and upskilling is not just about teaching people how to use certain devices, it’s about thinking and acting differently to thrive in our evolving digital world.
