Lucia Webster, Deputy Director - Grants Applicant Programme, Cabinet Office Lucia specialises in running large-scale, complex programmes and organisations in genuine Partnership. Since October 2021, she has been the strategic delivery lead of the Grants Applicant Programme (GAP) in Cabinet Office with a mission to make finding and applying for government grants simpler, faster, fairer and more efficient for all. Together with over 600 people from small to medium-sized businesses and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, as part of a newly formed Government Grants Community, Lucia and her team are co-creating, testing and developing a new, pilot digital service - Find a Grant. In building a pilot service based on the needs of applicants - as well as administrators - she aims to put forward a business case to extend GAP across government in 2023. Previously, Lucia has held leadership roles in both the public and private sector focused on leading large programmes, strategy and service design, including prison management, VCSE leadership, banking and adult social care, as well as 8 years as a management consultant for one of the big four professional service firms.
