Lee is passionate about using social technology to put humans front and centre of the way we do things in the Twenty-First Century. He believes social networks, not bureaucracies, are the organising principle of the current era, and that we will develop new forms of organisational operating system that maximise the value of both humans and software.
Lee co-founded an early web agency focused on knowledge sharing in 1996, and then Headshift in 2002 to pioneer new uses for social technology inside companies and organisations. This startup became a leading international social business consultancy and was acquired in 2009. In 2013, he co-founded a new company, POST*SHIFT, dedicated to exploring the intersection between new technologies and new thinking on organisational structure and culture. His new venture Shift*Base Academy is focused on helping leaders develop modern organisational operating systems using smart, collaborative technologies and new ways of working.
Lee is an expert faculty and academic director for executive education focused on leading in the digital age and the future of organisations in the age of algorithms for leading business schools. and has delivered programmes for leadership groups in leading companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
