About this speaker

I am a consultant paediatric and adult cancer surgeon by background. I have held local, regional and national clinical management and research roles in the NHS, including being the clinical lead for a service which covered a population of approximately 20 million people.

I now work full time on the real-world applications of data science, AI, robotics and medical devices in healthcare. My focus is the people, process & pathway aspects of healthcare. I am passionate about the transformation of clinical care and work with the NHS, start-ups, SME, Pharma and third sector organisations to deliver this.

I am a connector, able to adopt different roles or personas and utilise relevant aspects of my skills and knowledge to bind teams together and get the best out of everyone. I have a broad range of skills and knowledge.

• Mapping and redesigning clinical care pathways to improve patient care, operational and process efficiency (with or without new product integration)

• Developing enhanced product value propositions across the healthcare system

• Communicating strategy and value to a wide audience of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders

• Leading and working on projects to understand trust in data, digital and AI systems from clinician and patient perspectives

• Improving accessibility of medical content for non-clinical audiences

• Positioning products to align with NHS strategy

• Clinical stakeholder mapping, engagement and interviews to assess use cases

• Reviewing and advising on products to improve clinician user experience and workflow integration.I am a consultant paediatric and adult cancer surgeon by background.
