Jon Burt, Lead Enterprise Architect at Greater Manchester Combined Authority provides an overview of how the city region is using Zhamak Deghani’s Data Mesh concept to create a distributed data mesh to enable better use of data between organisations. Health interoperability standard FHIR is being adopted and extended to provide common data governance alongside SAVVI programme’s approach to creating repeatable data models. The Supported Families and Rough Sleeping use cases are being used to pilot the approach across the public sector improving outcomes through analytics and data driven APIs.
