Dorset is my home and I love living and working here.
My work-life balance goes something like this.
I am married and live in Southbourne, a great foodie place that I champion all across Social Media. Getting deeply involved in your local community is great fun and huge for my wellbeing.
I’m a director, partner and shareholder across a few businesses that are centred on these brands:
• Datacenta Hosting: managed hosting services for local businesses and UK Government • e-mango: web development specialising in Membership Organisations and Local Councils • X-Net: consulting services to the security sector and law enforcement
It’s times like updating your Profiles when you realise you’ve been doing this for 20 years. Two recessions, Brexit uncertainty, no mean feat.
I am having the most fun in business right now. Getting involved in Dorset-wide business and technological initiatives, really showcasing that this is not some sleepy seaside resort anymore.
Our expansion to the Dorset Innovation Park has been a huge positive and our vision is to be part of another innovation/startup/collaboration centre in Bournemouth and have them interconnected.
We need to stand shoulder to shoulder as Dorset businesses, to champion the region, as the way to thrive. There are many answers to the question of “Why Dorset?” when it comes to living, working and doing business here.
Let's see what the next 20 years brings.
